Doctor Doom wears metal armor in the comics to hide his scars, and in addition to being one of the most brilliant scientists in the world, is also one of Earth’s most powerful sorcerers. The Fantastic Four’s arch-nemesis Victor Von Doom (the doctorate was honorary, and bestowed upon himself after becoming the fascist dictator of Latveria), quickly became one of the most iconic villains in all of comic book history after his debut in The Fantatic Four #5 in 1962.
